Olympic Handball Ireland

Olympic Handball Ireland (OHI), also known as the Irish Olympic Handball Association, is the national governing body for Olympic or team handball across the island of Ireland. Established in 1975, it is recognised by Sport Ireland, Sport Northern Ireland, the Olympic Federation of Ireland, the European Handball Federation and the International Handball Federation. OHI develops participation from schools and clubs to senior and international levels, administers player registration and supports clubs, coaches, referees and volunteers. Its senior league clubs train and compete through the season, and the association publishes league fixtures, results, tables and team statistics through its online competition system. The organisation also runs primary- and secondary-school programmes: its Schools Festival pathway progresses from local or county festivals to provincial and All-Ireland finals, while secondary schools qualify through regional events for All-Ireland Finals.
