Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas

Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, Inc. (SBP) is the national governing body for basketball in the Philippines and FIBA’s national member federation in Asia. Formed by a Unity Congress on 5 February 2007, it restored the Philippines’ full FIBA membership after the earlier suspension. FIBA lists Victorico Vargas as president, Erika Caitlin Dy as secretary general, Robert Uy as vice-president and Manuel V. Pangilinan as chair. SBP develops and administers national-team, membership, coaching, referee and grassroots programmes, and represents the Philippines through Gilas Pilipinas men’s, women’s, youth and 3x3 teams. Its verified official platform publishes the teams, member organisations, academy pathways and programme news, including 2026 support for Gilas youth women and participation in FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup and Basketball World Cup qualifying activity. This record covers the national federation, rather than the Philippine Basketball Association, UAAP, a local league or an individual team.
