Waikato Basketball

Waikato Basketball, also referred to in Basketball New Zealand material as Waikato Basketball Council, is the regional basketball association serving the Waikato area from Hamilton, New Zealand. Its official portal provides local basketball news, Miniball activity, referee information, representative trial registration and age-group coaching announcements. The association runs representative development trials across age groups and supports local players, coaches and officials through participation and performance pathways. Basketball New Zealand documents identify Waikato as a Mid North Zone association and record its representative teams, athletes and staff in national competitions. This record covers the regional association and its community and representative programmes, not the former Waikato Pistons professional team, Waikato Country Basketball Association, Basketball New Zealand or a single tournament.
