Town of Garner Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources

Town of Garner Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources (PRCR) is the Town of Garner, North Carolina's municipal department for parks, recreation, athletics and cultural programming. Founded in 1967, the department manages parks, recreation facilities and community programmes, and its Recreation and Athletics team plans and supervises sporting activities for youth and adults at town-owned facilities. Basketball provision includes youth basketball leagues, adult basketball leagues, preschool sports activities, volunteer coaching opportunities and open-gym access. PRCR uses QuickScores to publish current league schedules and results. Its facilities include the Garner Recreation Center, a 40,000-square-foot venue with three basketball courts, an elevated walking track and multipurpose rooms, and the Avery Street Recreation Center, which has a gymnasium and accepts registrations for adult basketball teams. The department's youth athletics programming also includes volleyball, while partner organisations provide additional sports opportunities. Its stated mission is to enrich quality of life in Garner through parks, recreational facilities, programmes and cultural resources.
