British Handball Association

The British Handball Association (BHA) is the governing body for high-performance international handball in the United Kingdom and the member federation for Great Britain. Founded in 1967, it joined the International Handball Federation in 1968 and was an original member of the European Handball Federation when it was established in 1991. The BHA is responsible for Great Britain national teams at senior and age-group levels and for elite coaching. Its GB pathway builds on the England and Scotland talent pathways, with women's U17 and U19 and men's U18 and U20 squads feeding into senior teams. National programmes operate through training camps scheduled around EHF international release dates and seek international training and competition opportunities. Great Britain teams participate in EHF and IHF competitions, including age-group championships, IHF/EHF Trophies and Emerging Nations events.
