Basketball NSW

Basketball New South Wales (Basketball NSW or BNSW) is the governing body and sole state sporting organisation for basketball in New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 1938, it operates as New South Wales Basketball Association Limited and is an affiliated member of Basketball Australia. BNSW supports more than 80 affiliated associations and over 85,800 registered members, providing membership systems, governance and administration support, competition tools, participant-protection resources, development programmes and state pathways. Its work includes junior and senior state competitions, high-performance and performance-pathway programmes, coaching accreditation, referee, scoretable and statistics education, and inclusion initiatives. In 2026, BNSW published participant membership arrangements, convened its AGM and continued state-team, performance-pathway and nationally aligned officiating activity. This record concerns the state governing body, not Basketball Australia, an affiliated local association, professional club or a single competition.
