Barbados Amateur Basketball Association

The Barbados Amateur Basketball Association (BABA) is the national governing body for basketball in Barbados. Founded in 1934 and recognised by FIBA since 1962, it represents Barbados internationally and is affiliated to FIBA Americas through the Caribbean Basketball Confederation. BABA promotes, supervises and governs basketball nationally, administers registered clubs, players, leagues and sanctioned tournaments, and applies playing rules, disciplinary procedures and a code of conduct. Its official platform publishes domestic competition news and results, including the BABA Premier League, the Barbados Basketball Festival and age-group events for under-14, under-19 and senior teams. The association also supports national-team activity and youth development. This profile concerns the national association, not an individual club, the Premier League alone or the Barbados Olympic Association.
