Canadian Premier League

The Canadian Premier League is Canada’s national men’s professional soccer league and the top tier of the country’s domestic professional game. Founded in 2019, it provides a Canada-based platform for players to compete at a high level, develop their careers and gain visibility nationally and internationally. The league brings together clubs representing communities from coast to coast and runs a regular season followed by playoffs. Its principal honours are the CPL Shield for the regular-season leader and the North Star Cup for the playoff champion. The Canadian Premier League publishes fixtures, results, standings, news, video and competition information, and its champion earns a place in the Concacaf Champions Cup under the competition regulations.
