Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations - Track and Field

Canada - Track and Field

The Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations administers the provincial secondary-school track and field championship in Ontario. The 2026 OFSAA Track and Field Championships were held from 4 to 6 June at Niagara Olympic Track in St. Catharines, with the main competition schedule covering junior, senior, novice and open divisions in track, relay and field events. The programme included 400 metres, 800 metres, 1,500 metres, 3,000 metres, 2,000-metre steeplechase, hurdles, 4x100 and 4x400 relays, high jump, pole vault, long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus and javelin. Schools prepare eligibility documents through the OFSAA HUB before regional competition; coaches then provide signed supervision forms at the regional meet and regional coordinators submit qualifying entries electronically. OFSAA applies its own regulations first and then the World Athletics Handbook; its 2026 guidance specifically addressed the use of World Athletics-approved footwear. The championship includes Para athletics, with ambulatory, intellectual-impairment and visually-impaired classifications in selected races, seated 200 metres and seated shot put, plus accommodation procedures for athletes needing support. OFSAA provides competition schedules, past results, all-time records, coaches’ information, regional-convenor guidance and live-stream links through its official channels.
