Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference - Competitive Cheer

The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) administers competitive cheer as an officially recognised conference sport for its member institutions. Its official competitive-cheer page provides the participating-team listing, schedule and results, while the conference also appoints dedicated cheer and dance officials and athletics liaisons. The annual championship uses preliminary and final rounds: the 2025 event was hosted by the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas, with eight cheer teams scheduled in the preliminary competition before the final round. The 2024 championship took place at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas under a comparable preliminary-and-finals format. University of Saint Mary won the 2024-25 and 2025-26 KCAC competitive-cheer titles. KCAC also publishes scholar-athlete and Champions of Character recognition for the sport, and its 2026 virtual media day featured coaches and teams from Avila, Friends, Kansas Wesleyan, McPherson, Oklahoma Wesleyan, Southwestern, Sterling, Saint Mary and York. The conference’s Commissioner’s Cup counts competitive-cheer championship results among 21 officially recognised varsity championships.
