City of Edinburgh Netball Association

The City of Edinburgh Netball Association (CENA) is a Netball Scotland-affiliated local association that organises and oversees netball leagues and competitions in Edinburgh. It offers structured adult and junior leagues alongside social participation opportunities, supporting players of different ages and abilities. CENA became an active Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation in April 2025, with the charitable purpose of advancing public participation in netball. The association is governed by a board of trustees and committees, and publishes a constitution, league rules, safeguarding, equality, disciplinary, complaints, data-protection and health-and-safety policies. Current rules apply to the CENA League and CENA Junior League and operate with its constitution; player registration with Netball Scotland is required for competition. CENA manages match, junior, umpire, welfare and communications functions, and works to deliver safe, inclusive and sustainable netball in the city. It is a local association within the national Netball Scotland framework, rather than Scotland’s national governing body.
