British Softball Federation

The British Softball Federation (BSF) is the national governing body for all forms of softball in the United Kingdom. It governs predominantly co-ed slowpitch play, alongside single-sex slowpitch and a growing fastpitch community. The Federation affiliates regional slowpitch leagues, Great Britain Fastpitch League teams and tournament teams, administers player registration, and organises national championship and National Softball League competition. BSF oversees a Great Britain national-team programme comprising senior and youth women’s and men’s fastpitch teams, senior co-ed slowpitch and senior men’s slowpitch. The women’s fastpitch programme has won consecutive European Championship silver medals in 2022 and 2024 and competed for World Cup and Olympic qualification. The Federation provides competition, membership, safeguarding, technical and development leadership through its Executive Board, and works with BaseballSoftballUK on sport development and services. The British Association of Softball Umpires is its umpire training and governing authority. British Softball Federation Ltd is the legal entity operating the official federation website.
