Australia - Water Polo
Water Polo South Australia (WPSA), trading as Water Polo SA, is the state governing body for water polo in South Australia and is affiliated with Water Polo Australia. Established in 1951 as the South Australia Amateur Water Polo Association, it administers the sport from club and school participation through to state representative pathways. WPSA supports four affiliated clubs, a membership base of more than 350 players and officials, and independent schools that compete in its school competitions. It delivers summer and winter competition seasons, FlippaBall non-contact water polo for children aged seven to twelve, social and competitive opportunities for all ages and abilities, and male and female state-development squads at 14-and-under, 16-and-under and 18-and-under levels. The association provides club support, competition management, governance, technical resources, referee and table-official documentation, member-protection processes and state-team selection procedures. WPSA applies Water Polo Australia safeguarding, integrity and conduct policies alongside its own constitution, by-laws and competition regulations. It is the South Australian state body, not the Australian national governing body.
