Basketball Ireland

Basketball Ireland is the national governing body for basketball on the island of Ireland. Formally, it is The Irish Basketball Association Company Limited by Guarantee, a company limited by guarantee whose constitution establishes it as the sole competent authority for the national organisation and administration of basketball in Ireland. The association promotes, controls, supervises, develops and directs the sport, publishes rules and regulations, supports clubs and members, and manages national basketball activity and Irish international participation. It is recognised by Sport Ireland as a national governing body and is listed by FIBA as Ireland’s national federation. Basketball Ireland is headquartered at the National Basketball Arena in Tymon Park, Dublin, and publishes governance, safeguarding, competition, academy and registration information through its official platform. This record covers Basketball Ireland’s governing-body activity rather than an individual league or club.
