Irish Football Association

The Irish Football Association (Irish FA) is the governing body for football in Northern Ireland. It develops and administers the game from grassroots participation to elite performance, including men’s, women’s and youth international teams. The association directly administers domestic cup competitions and publishes rules and regulations that apply to football under its jurisdiction. Its work includes competition administration, player status, club support, coaching education, refereeing, safeguarding and facilities development. The Irish FA also works across women’s football, schools and community programmes, and provides information about domestic fixtures, cups, national teams and governing documents. Its official website is the central source for news, regulations, coach education and information about organised football in Northern Ireland.
