Edmonton Basketball Association

The Edmonton Basketball Association (EBA) is an Alberta-incorporated association that operates Edmonton’s adult recreational basketball league. It offers year-round men’s and women’s basketball for players aged 18 and over, with divisions ranging from competitive to recreational, and runs its games at the Saville Community Sports Centre. Teams form their own rosters and register for seeding, regular-season and playoff competition; the association also maintains player-registration, waiver, eligibility, discipline, cancellation and score-sheet procedures. EBA’s fall/winter format includes a seeding round, regular-season games and playoffs, while spring and summer seasons offer shorter schedules. Its bylaws identify a member-based association governed by a board and executive, and its site describes EBA as a member of the Alberta Basketball Association. This record concerns the adult Edmonton league association, not Edmonton Youth Basketball Association, Alberta Basketball Association, a club, venue or officials association.
