Big West Conference - Beach Volleyball

The Big West Conference sponsors NCAA Division I women's beach volleyball for its member institutions and administers the annual Big West Beach Volleyball Championship. The 2026 championship was held on 23-24 April at Cal Poly's Swanson Beach Volleyball Complex in San Luis Obispo, California. Seven conference programs competed in modified pool play on the first day, followed by a six-team single-elimination bracket. Seeding used a mathematical index based on institutional and opponents' winning percentages. Cal Poly, the top seed and host, won the 2026 title by sweeping second-seeded Long Beach State 3-0 in the final, earning the conference's automatic berth to the National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship. Long Beach State also received an at-large NCAA berth, giving the conference two national-championship participants for the fifth consecutive season. The Big West recognizes all-conference teams and individual awards through a vote of the league's beach-volleyball head coaches; in 2026, 20 student-athletes were named to first or second teams and all seven programs were represented. The conference publishes championship schedules, standings, results, historical records, awards and event information through its official site.
