Tyne and Wear County Netball Association

Tyne and Wear County Netball Association (TWCNA) organises and develops netball in Gateshead, Newcastle and North Tyneside. It provides club support, league and tournament competition, coaching and umpiring development, school liaison, membership administration and a county player-development pathway aligned with England Netball. The association runs county winter and spring leagues, with the spring programme involving around 90 teams, as well as flexible summer and social netball opportunities. Its England Netball-endorsed Player Development Programmes for under-13 and under-15 athletes provide training, match play and a route towards the regional performance pathway. TWCNA is governed through a county committee and annual general meeting, maintains complaints and appeals processes, and supports affiliated clubs and volunteers. It is the local county association in the England Netball structure, not the national governing body.
