Rugby Area Netball Association

Rugby Area Netball Association (RANA) is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit local netball league in Rugby, Warwickshire. Active for almost 40 years, it brings together teams from Rugby and nearby areas and provides competition for players aged 14 to 74 across three divisions. RANA runs a winter league from September to March, with Sunday morning matches at Rugby School Sports Centre, and a summer league from May to July. The association is an England Netball member league and applies England Netball playing rules and protocols adapted for its local competition. Its volunteer committee is drawn from member teams and administers affiliation, player registration and transfers, fixtures, cancellations, complaints and umpiring. All affiliated clubs and teams must affiliate to England Netball. RANA provides a community setting for participation, fitness, friendship, wellbeing and competition rather than serving as a national governing body.
