Public Schools Athletic League

The Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) coordinates interscholastic sport for New York City public high schools as an office of the City Department of Education. Its volleyball programme offers girls’ fall and boys’ spring competition, with schedules, results, standings, playoff brackets, rules, regulations and championship history published online. PSAL’s mission centres on physical fitness, character development, teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship. The league serves more than 400 member schools and is a public-school athletic organisation, not an independent club-volleyball federation.
