Basketball New Zealand

Basketball New Zealand Incorporated (BBNZ) is the national governing body for basketball in New Zealand and the country’s member federation of FIBA. Based in Wellington, it is governed by a board and national office and works with affiliated associations to develop, grow and promote the sport. BBNZ oversees national teams including the Tall Blacks, Tall Ferns and age-group teams; supports participants, coaches, referees, clubs and associations; delivers national competitions and international events; and maintains competition, membership, integrity and player regulations. It also operates the national basketball league structure, including the Sal’s NBL and Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa, alongside age-group, school and representative pathways. This record concerns New Zealand’s basketball federation, not a single league, club or national team.
