Conference Carolinas - Football

Conference Carolinas administers NCAA Division II football for member institutions in the southeastern United States. The conference originally sponsored football from 1931 through 1974 and restored it as a conference sport in 2025 after a nearly 50-year absence. Charter-era football membership for the relaunch included Barton, Chowan, Erskine, North Greenville, Shorter and UNC Pembroke; the conference publishes standings, schedules and an official football record book. Conference Carolinas’ broader mission combines NCAA Division II competition with academic and student-athlete development.
