New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association - Cross Country

United States - Cross Country

The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) administers interscholastic boys' and girls' cross country for member high schools in New Jersey. The programme publishes tournament regulations, regular-season rules, National Federation rule changes, classifications, meet-entry directions, committee minutes and championship history. The 2026 season began practice on 17 August, with competition permitted from 24 August. For the state tournament, NJSIAA scheduled sectional championships on 31 October at Garret Mountain, Central Park of Morris County, Thompson Park and Dream Park; the state championships on 7 November at Holmdel Park; and the Meet of Champions on 14 November at Holmdel Park. Entries and results are managed through MileSplit under the association's published deadlines. Standard NJSIAA cross-country distances are 3,500 metres for freshmen and 5,000 metres for junior varsity, novice and varsity competition unless an approved variation applies. The association also maintains sport-specific committee governance, school classifications and historical championship records through its official website.
