Bristol Softball Association

Bristol Softball Association (BSA) is a British Softball Federation-affiliated regional slowpitch softball association and the longest-running softball league in Bristol. It operates three outdoor divisions, played on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at Watson’s Field near Abbots Leigh, and also offers an indoor league. BSA welcomes players at different experience levels and provides regular outdoor and off-season indoor coaching led by nationally qualified coaches. Its umpire-development pathway includes Bristol League Umpire training and British Association of Softball Umpires courses with mentoring for new officials. The association runs three annual tournaments: First Ball for Bristol league teams, the Great Western Somerball open tournament for competitive and recreational teams, and the social wRECk tournament. It publishes fixtures, tables, home-run statistics and league information. BSA is a local member league operating within the British Softball Federation framework, not the national governing body.
