Oxfordshire Softball Association

Oxfordshire Softball Association (OSA) is the volunteer-run, non-profit association that promotes and administers softball in Oxfordshire. Founded in 1990 after local play dating to at least the early 1980s, it is affiliated to the British Softball Federation and Baseball Softball United Kingdom. OSA runs the Oxford Softball League, a mixed slowpitch competition played mainly on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Horspath Athletics and Sports Ground in Oxford. The league provides two divisions, fixtures, standings, player statistics, registration, umpiring, training and introductory sessions for newcomers, and supports players aged approximately 14 to 60 and over. OSA is governed by an elected Executive Committee, captains' meetings and working groups covering fixtures, facilities, umpiring, development, coaching, safeguarding and communications. It applies local match rules alongside BSF and national safeguarding, conduct, equality and disciplinary policies, and organises the annual Dino Ball recreational tournament.
