Basketball Saskatchewan

Basketball Saskatchewan Inc. (BSI) is the not-for-profit provincial basketball organisation that promotes excellence in basketball across Saskatchewan by providing leadership and opportunities for players, coaches, officials and volunteers. Continued under Saskatchewan’s Non-Profit Corporations Act, it supports member teams, clubs, leagues and training organisations through annual registration, insurance, sanctioned-event access and development services. BSI operates player pathways including provincial teams, camps and Jr. NBA activity; supports coach education through the Saskatchewan Basketball Coaching Community and NCCP pathways; and administers officials development through the Saskatchewan Basketball Officials Commission. Its 2026/27 membership system includes Canada Basketball membership, and its provincial-team programme provides boys’ and girls’ pathways from 13U through 17U, with 15U and 17U national-championship participation. The current published board is led by President Trevor Otsig, with Megan Penno as Executive Director. This record concerns Saskatchewan’s provincial basketball body, not Canada Basketball, a local league, club or officials association.
