Ontario Basketball Association

Ontario Basketball Association (OBA), operating as Ontario Basketball, is the sport governing body for basketball in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is a not-for-profit provincial sport organization, incorporated in 1977, and works with Canada Basketball, the national sport organization. Ontario Basketball provides club, coach, athlete, official and competition services across community, youth and high-performance basketball. Its competition pathway includes the Ontario Basketball League for U10–U19 boys’ and girls’ teams, Ontario Basketball Championships, Ontario Cup and sanctioned events. The organisation also runs Team Ontario high-performance programmes for U15 and U17 male and female athletes and manages basketball-development initiatives. Its 2024–25 programme report records more than 33,000 athletes, over 8,000 games delivered and over 1,000 certified coaches. Ontario Basketball is based in Whitby, Ontario. This record covers the provincial governing body, not Canada Basketball or an individual league, club or school.
