Manchester Softball League

Manchester Softball League (MSL) is a British Softball Federation-affiliated slowpitch softball league established in 1992. It is one of the United Kingdom's largest regional leagues and the largest slowpitch league outside London, working with the BSF and BaseballSoftballUK to develop the game in north-west England. The volunteer-run league offers inclusive competitive and recreational play across four divisions, with around 30 teams, from nationally competitive Division 1 to entry-level competition. Its outdoor season runs from April to August, alongside indoor softball, rookie sessions and player recruitment throughout the year. MSL hosts major annual events including Manchester FirstBall, Manchester Main/BeeBall and North West Series fixtures, and publishes schedules, results, team information and its Bases Loaded newsletter. The league's voluntary Executive Committee organises the competition, and its participation framework includes safeguarding, conduct, anti-bullying, pregnancy and under-18 policies.
