Pueblo Parks and Recreation

Pueblo Parks and Recreation operates Gridiron Heroes, a youth flag-football programme in Pueblo, Colorado. The co-ed league introduces children aged four to eleven to the fundamentals of American football through non-competitive games designed around teamwork, sportsmanship, learning and enjoyment. The six-game autumn season is played at Lake Minnequa Veterans Memorial Park, with divisions organised by age. The department administers player registration, coach and parent communication, league rules, rosters and schedules. Its Youth Sports Division also requires seasonal coaching paperwork and background checks to support participant safety and skill development. Pueblo Parks and Recreation provides this programme within a wider municipal recreation and athletic service.
