Basketball Nova Scotia

Basketball Nova Scotia (BNS) is the not-for-profit provincial sport organisation that promotes and develops recreational and competitive basketball throughout Nova Scotia, Canada. It is recognised by Canada Basketball as the governing body for basketball in the province and is a member of Sport Nova Scotia’s provincial-sport-organisation network. BNS sanctions clubs, teams, leagues, programmes and events, applying policies intended to provide inclusive, safe participation, development standards and insurance coverage. Its services include club membership, coach education, Safe Sport training, referee pathways, wheelchair-basketball information, Canada Basketball verification and provincial-team programming. In 2026, BNS published provincial rosters and continued Junior NBA/Junior WNBA and identification-programme activity. The organisation’s vision is to provide a pathway to maximising basketball potential at all levels. This record is for the provincial basketball body, not Canada Basketball, Nova Scotia Basketball Officials, a club or a school-sport organisation.
