Basketball BC

Basketball BC is the provincial governing non-profit society and recognised Provincial Sport Organization for basketball in British Columbia, Canada. Incorporated under the BC Societies Act, it is governed by a member-elected board and leads, supports and delivers programmes intended to advance participation and performance while protecting the integrity of the game. The organisation provides club membership, registration, insurance and Safe Sport requirements; supports athlete, coach and official development; and administers pathways from community programmes to high-performance basketball. Its current services include Team BC U15 and U17 provincial teams, academy programmes, athlete-development camps, regional training, NCCP-related coach education and official recruitment. For the 2026/27 membership season, Basketball BC opened annual club registration with participant coverage and sanctioning conditions. It also continued its Team BC and BC Summer Games pathways. This record concerns the provincial basketball body, not Canada Basketball, a local club, school-sport body or a separate officials association.
