Arizona Interscholastic Association Flag Football

The Arizona Interscholastic Association administers interscholastic high-school flag football in Arizona. It provides a tournament guide, timing guide, postseason procedures and a calendar of sanctioned competition. Schools must play at least eight games to qualify for the AIA postseason; seeding is based on the association’s power-ranking system where available and/or its section-qualifying process, and the postseason uses single-elimination tournaments. The football used must meet the National Federation Flag Football Rules Book requirements. AIA also administers Unified Flag Football with Special Olympics Arizona, creating sanctioned opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities and Unified Partners to compete together under sport-specific rules.
