Alaska School Activities Association

The Alaska School Activities Association is the statewide nonprofit body that directs, develops and supports Alaska high-school interscholastic sport and activities. ASAA sanctions flag football and administers its state championship pathway, eligibility requirements, policies, officials’ resources and championship records. The 2026 flag football season is scheduled to begin practice on 29 July, with the first contest on 13 August and the regular season or conference championships concluding by 3 October. The 2026 ASAA First National Bowl Flag Football State Championship is scheduled for 8–10 October at Wasilla High School, hosted by ASAA and the school. ASAA requires participants to be entered in its School Activities Reporting System and uses NFHS flag-football rules.
