Conference Carolinas - Flag Football

Conference Carolinas administers women’s flag football at the varsity level in NCAA Division II. The conference staged its inaugural Women’s Flag Football Championship at Durham County Memorial Stadium in Durham, North Carolina, on 17–19 April 2026, with eight teams qualifying for a quarterfinal, semifinal and final format. Wingate University won the inaugural title, defeating Ferrum College 32–14 in the final. Wingate and Ferrum had shared the regular-season title at 8–1 in conference play, with Wingate receiving the top tournament seed through its head-to-head win. The conference’s inaugural all-tournament team named Wingate’s Addison Morgan as Most Valuable Player. Conference Carolinas describes itself as the first NCAA Division I or II conference to sponsor women’s flag football at varsity level in 2025–26.
