City of Colorado Springs Sports Office

The City of Colorado Springs Sports Office administers municipal youth and adult sports programmes, including adult and youth flag football. Its adult flag-football programme offers men's and co-ed 4-on-4, 5-on-5 and 8-on-8 leagues in spring, summer, fall and winter, with recreational and competitive divisions. Games are generally played at Venezia Park, and the Sports Office handles team registration, free-agent lists, schedules, cancellation notices, rulebooks and officials. Youth flag football is a non-contact programme designed to develop game knowledge and skills, with spring and fall registration and age or grade-based leagues. The office is part of the City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services operation, and is a public recreation provider rather than an independent flag-football governing body.
