Illinois High School Association

The Illinois High School Association is the statewide body that leads interscholastic athletics and activities for its member schools in Illinois. In association football, IHSA administers the Boys Soccer State Series, including classifications, tournament terms and conditions, sectional and state-final competition, records and championship recognition. Its competition materials set the operational framework for participating schools, teams and tournament hosts. Although IHSA also administers a separate American-football programme, this description concerns its association-football activity.
