Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association Football

The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) regulates and administers high-school football championships in Delaware. Its football programme uses a three-tier structure—Class 1A, 2A and 3A—to promote competitive balance, safety and appropriate opportunities for schools, and it also stages Unified Flag Football competition. DIAA publishes competition dates, classifications, tournament manuals, brackets, game operations guidance and NFHS football rules resources. The association conducts quarterfinal, semifinal and state-final rounds, with championship events hosted at Delaware State University. Created to carry the state’s interscholastic athletics responsibilities, DIAA operates under statutory authority and works to provide a positive and equitable experience for student-athletes.
