New Jersey Athletic Conference

The New Jersey Athletic Conference administers NCAA Division III football and publishes official schedules, standings, results, statistics and all-conference recognition. Founded in 1957 as the New Jersey State Athletic Conference, the NJAC has evolved from a men’s league into a multi-sport Division III conference that permits sport-specific affiliate and associate membership. Its football membership has included full-conference institutions and associate football programs, with Vermont State University Castleton joining as an associate football member in 2025–26. The NJAC football champion earns the conference’s automatic qualification to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.
