Utah High School Activities Association - Football

The Utah High School Activities Association governs education-based high-school football in Utah, setting rules, classifications, state-tournament procedures and athlete recognition for member schools. UHSAA serves 162 member schools and uses six classifications, alongside an eight-player championship classification for football. The 2026 postseason calendar sets an October 17 bracket reveal, first-round games from October 23, semifinals at Zions Bank Stadium and Rice-Eccles Stadium, and finals beginning November 13. The association also publishes football-specific safety and participation resources, including heat-acclimatization guidance, padded-camp requirements, NFHS contact recommendations and a 2026 mercy rule.
