Montana High School Association - Softball

The Montana High School Association administers interscholastic high-school softball in Montana. Its state postseason is organized in Class AA, Class A and Class B-C competition, supported by state brackets, tournament manuals, qualifying information and past-champion records. In 2026, Class AA state play was scheduled for May 28–30 in Missoula, using Fort Missoula Regional Park and the University of Montana Softball Field; Class A was scheduled at Hamilton High School from May 28–30, while Class B-C was scheduled at Stewart Park Softball Complex in Billings. For Class AA, the association uses a play-in series in which the higher seed needs one win to qualify for state while the lower seed must win two games.
