Frisco Parks and Recreation

Play Frisco is the City of Frisco, Texas Parks & Recreation Department, providing parks, trails, recreation centres, cultural activity and sport programmes for people of all ages and abilities. Its athletics programme runs adult leagues in cricket, flag football, kickball, softball and sand volleyball. Adult softball is offered in spring, summer and fall in church, co-ed, men’s and women’s divisions; teams play eight games under ASA rules, with the leading teams advancing to a single-elimination playoff. The department also directs participants to local independent youth associations for baseball and softball, cricket, football, lacrosse and soccer, while providing youth recreation classes, camps and other programmes. Sports camps introduce young participants to basketball, soccer, track and field, flag football and other activities. City facilities include public courts, sports fields, cricket pitches, diamond-sport practice areas and the Warren Sports Complex, which has baseball/softball, basketball, football, futsal, soccer, tennis and volleyball amenities. This record concerns a municipal programme operator rather than an independent sports federation.
