Empire 8 Athletic Conference - Softball

The Empire 8 Athletic Conference administers NCAA Division III softball, publishing its schedule, standings, awards and championship coverage. The 2026 Empire 8 Championship involved the top eight teams: two opening single-elimination games were followed by a six-team double-elimination tournament at top-seeded SUNY Geneseo. Alfred won the title by defeating St. John Fisher, securing its second consecutive Empire 8 crown and the conference’s automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.
