Mountain East Conference - Softball

The Mountain East Conference (MEC) administers NCAA Division II softball, including divisional standings, all-conference honors and its postseason championship. The 2026 MEC Softball Championship brought eight teams to the James I. Moyer Sports Complex in Salem, Virginia, for a four-day tournament. Glenville State won its first MEC tournament title, defeating the University of Charleston twice on the final day; a 4–3 victory in the first game forced the winner-take-all finale. Glenville State, Charleston and Fairmont State subsequently represented the MEC in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional.
