Liberty League - Softball

Liberty League softball is the NCAA Division III conference competition administered by the Liberty League. The conference's official athletics website publishes schedules, results, standings, championship information and awards for its softball members. The 2026 standings list Rochester, Ithaca, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Skidmore, St. Lawrence, Union, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and Clarkson. Rochester finished first in regular-season league play at 13-1, ahead of Ithaca and RPI at 10-4. The five-team 2026 championship was held at Southside Field in Rochester, New York. Rochester won the league title by defeating Ithaca twice in the championship round, securing the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship. It was the Yellowjackets' ninth Liberty League tournament title and fifth since 2021. Rochester infielder Riley Laygo was named the 2026 Liberty League Player of the Year and the championship's Most Outstanding Performer.
