New England Small College Athletic Conference - Softball

The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) administers NCAA Division III softball for its eleven highly selective liberal arts member institutions. The conference runs an annual championship and its champion receives the league’s automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament. In 2026, second-seeded Middlebury won its second NESCAC softball title, and first since 2011, defeating fifth-seeded Williams 7–5 in the championship game. A conference-record four NESCAC teams entered the NCAA Tournament: automatic qualifier Middlebury plus at-large selections Bowdoin, Colby and Tufts.
