Public Schools Athletic League

The Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) administers girls' varsity softball for New York City public high schools, alongside a coeducational Multiple Pathways League programme. The official softball portal provides schedules, statistical leaders, division standings, listed entries, playoff brackets, rules and championship history. The 2025-26 spring varsity season included 1A, 2A and 3A divisional competition across all five boroughs; its championship-day schedule at St. John's University included Manhattan Village Academy, Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy, Susan E. Wagner, Curtis, Beacon and Louis Brandeis. The league also stages a junior-varsity programme and announced its 20th annual junior and senior fall showcase for 2026-27. PSAL publishes the programme through its official portal and New York City Public Schools.
