Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference - Softball

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) is an NCAA Division I athletic conference that administers softball competition for 13 member institutions. The conference’s official platforms publish schedules, standings, statistics, awards and postseason information; the current public site is branded Metro while its 2026 softball championship retained the MAAC name. In 2026, Marist won the regular season at 24-3 in conference play and hosted the six-team, double-elimination MAAC Softball Championship at Gartland Field in Poughkeepsie, New York, from 6 to 9 May. Marist defeated Iona 4-0 in the final to win its second consecutive championship and earn the conference’s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. The 2026 standings included all 13 conference members, while the championship field consisted of Marist, Fairfield, Iona, Sacred Heart, Quinnipiac and Siena. The conference also publishes a year-by-year softball championship record and all-championship team.
