UConn Huskies - Softball

UConn Huskies softball represents the University of Connecticut in NCAA Division I and BIG EAST Conference competition. The programme publishes its roster, schedule, statistics, staff and news through the official UConn Athletics website. The Huskies play at Burrill Family Field at the Connecticut Softball Complex in Storrs, Connecticut. Laura Valentino is the head coach, supported by associate head coach Mackenzie Keyes and assistant coaches Giselle Juarez-Presley and Sydney Fleming. UConn finished the 2026 schedule 32-28 overall and 18-6 in BIG EAST play. The Huskies won the 2026 BIG EAST Tournament, defeating Creighton in the opening round, the semifinal and the championship round, to retain the conference title won in 2025. UConn then made consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time since 1995 and 1996, competing in the College Station Regional against Texas A&M, McNeese State and Texas A&M. The 2026 roster included returning BIG EAST Freshman of the Year Cat Petteys and all-conference outfielder Kaitlyn Breslin. Valentino began her eighth season as UConn head coach in 2026-27.
