United States - Softball
The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) administers NCAA Division III softball competition for its member institutions. The conference schedule consists of assigned doubleheaders, with the regular-season champion determined by the results of those games; the MIAC also operates a postseason playoff tournament. The 2026 regular season was won by Saint Benedict with a 21-1 conference record. The six-team 2026 MIAC Softball Playoffs took place from 7 to 9 May: quarterfinals were played on 7 May, followed by semifinals and the championship game at the field of the top seed, Saint Benedict, in St. Joseph, Minnesota. Saint Benedict won the playoff championship for the first time in programme history and earned the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament. The MIAC recognises All-Conference, honorable mention and All-Playoff teams, along with Player, Pitcher, Rookie and Coach of the Year awards; Saint Benedict received three of four major awards in 2026. The conference maintains current standings, schedules, statistics, playoff information, all-time championship and playoff histories, awards and individual and team record books through its official athletics website.
