South Portland Parks, Recreation & Waterfront

South Portland Parks, Recreation & Waterfront is the City of South Portland, Maine department responsible for parks, recreation programmes, athletic facilities and waterfront services. Its adult-programme portfolio includes co-ed softball leagues. The 2026 programme provides Monday and Tuesday spring leagues, a summer league and other seasonal offerings at the South Portland Recreation Complex's Wainwright Fields. League play uses a 10-versus-10 co-ed format with at least four women and four men on the field, eight regular-season games and playoffs for the top ten teams. Players register individually, while captains submit rosters; rules, schedules, standings and field maps are published through the City's MyRec portal. This record represents the municipal recreational softball programme rather than a separate governing body.
